The physiological mechanism of the kidney's Renin-Angiotensin-Aldosterone system is as follows : angiotensin I starting from renin is transformed into angiotensin II by the antiotensin converting enzyme. Angiotensin II causes the contraction of the blood vessels and the increased resistance of the blood vascular system, resulting in the increment of the blood pressure. This physiological mechanism is one of the major factors for hypertension. Besides, Angiotensin ¥± also accelerates aldosterone which increases the blood flow and accelerates the water retention in the body. It's another major factor for hypertension.
Epranil tablet blocks the ACE-angiotensin converting enzyme system and prevents the formation of angiotensin ¥± and aldosterone which are the major factors for hypertension. Epranil tablet is a hypotensive agent with a mechanism of action for treating hypertension fundamentally.
